The Swan Trust

Swan is a traditional Shetland fishing boat which has been authentically restored by a team of volunteers at The Swan Trust.  Swan was built and launched in Shetland in 1900, she has survived two world wars and now offers sail training and voyages around the Shetland Islands, Orkney, the Western Isles, St Kilda, Mainland Scotland, Sweden, Norway, Faroe, Denmark and Iceland.

In 2024, Swan travelled to Ullapool where boatbuilders Johnson & Loftus will fit a new mast over the course of few weeks. Steven Gourlay Media filmed the work to provide a fascinating diary with stories form all the key people involved.
