Tube Ice

The harbour’s ice plant is one of the few remaining ice plants that can manufacture tube ice. Available by prior appointment.

7-Tonne Telehandler

Available by prior appointment only. Contact harbour for charges. Larger crane hire can be arranged by harbour.

ELECTRICITY

If you’re located on a visor pontoon number 27 to 32 or the hammerhead, your electricity costs are included in your daily charge.

FRESH WATER

Available at various locations on the pontoons.

FUEL

Available at Lochbroom Filling Station at the east end of Shore Street. Bring your own container.

GAS BOTTLES

Can be purchased at Lochbroom Filling Station at the east end of Shore Street or go to The Bothy at the western edge of the village at the entrance to the campsite.

Groceries

Visit the fish van outside the village hall on Market Street between 10-2 on Saturday and outside the Ceilidh Place on Tuesdays from 10am to 2pm.

The butcher’s van is outside the village hall on Thursdays till 4pm.

Ullapool Unpacked in the village hall stocks an array of fresh veg, eggs and plenty of other foodstuffs with an emphasis of low or zero packaging.

Lochbroom Garage on Garve road stocks an array of locally produced meat and convenience food.

Tesco is located at Latheron Lane.

HOW TO PAY

Payment by cash, credit card over the phone or in person in the harbour offices (directly opposite Calmac ferry terminal) at the Watchroom (ground floor) or harbour office (1st floor).

LAUNDRY

Ullapool Laundry, just off Latheron Lane, opposite Tesco, operates a pickup and drop off service. Click here for opening times.

SHOWER FACILITIES

There are showers in the public toilets which are located in the ferry carpark. There are also shower facilities at Lochbroom Leisure Centre on Quay Street.

Bus Companies

Citylink Coaches/Stagecoach Bus operate a bus service from Inverness to Ullapool.

The Westerbus also operates from Inverness to Gairloch connecting with an Ullapool service at Braemore Junction on a Mon, Wed & Saturday. For more information contact 01854 612966.

Waste Disposal

For large quantities of waste, please contact harbour personnel to request the relevant receptacles.

Waste oil – used oil can be disposed of in the 3000l tank at the SE corner of the pier. Please place filters and rags in the clip-top barrels. For larger quantities please contact harbour personal before landing ashore.

UHT is a member of the Fishing for Litter scheme. Please dispose of retrieved fishing equipment in the dedicated red skip.
